I'd like to point out an addition to the lake sites on the weather page. Below all the normal stuff, there is now a graphical display of the National Weather Service MOS Model. This model has been around a long time but was developed for aviation weather reporting. The MOS model shows forecast detail in 3 hour segments for 72 hours. I've watched this model for several years and I've found that it pertains to boating and being on the water just as well as it does flying. You can look at it on Friday and get a good idea what the weekend weather will be. Great for planning. I find that it is extremely accurate and differs from other models slightly.
Disclaimer: As with any weather forecast, it is only an estimated calculation. Actual results may vary!
You guys may like this at the top of a page instead of having to scroll down. Let me know your thoughts and how much you would use it.
I vote for a top of page link. If I didn't do what I do now for a living, I sure would enjoy being a meteorologist like that guy on WGN out of Chicago. More charts and graphs in a 4 minute segment than you can believe.
Agree with placing a link at the top of the page, the only thing that I ask is that you try to get a few sunny weekends for us - you do such a great job with this site, can't you write some code to alter the weather?
is there any way to get this same data for other areas/weather stations?
i had a good day on Mitchell today, despite the thunderstorms. came in second place. 8.9 lbs. first place was 12.95. i can handle rain but not lightning.
not saying this weather data would have made any difference but i would like to have it for my preparations as i travel around to other areas.
