Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) today asked the Obama administration to investigate what he called “the greatest scientific scandal of our generation” — the actions of climate scientists revealed by the Climategate files, and the subsequent admissions by the editors of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report (AR4).
Senator Inhofe also called for former Vice President Al Gore to be called back to the Senate to testify.

You know, I'm never really sure what testifying before Congress really nets. All it ever seems to be is an opportunity for the Committee members to insult people and yell at them, and show how stupid the Committee members are.
Having said all that, it is a good topic for debate, unlike some of the other hearings that they call.

I agree with Hound, these hearings are usually just an opportunity for congressmen to bloviate on the topic at hand and little of any value emerges, especially when filtered by the government media.
The fact is the entire global warming scam is coming apart at the seams and I am going to enjoy watching Algore being relegated to the scrap heap of charlatans and scam artists throughout history. Thank goodness the truth has come out before the loony leftists were able to decimate our economy with their carbon schemes.

A rationalization by scam artists is that the lambs are so stupid that they deserve to be fleeced.
Al Gore is a success story. He detected the direction of the wind and he set his sails by it. Knowing the susceptibility of the media addicted masses, he positioned himself to profit from the hysteria. He had the right message at the right time and he stood up… in the true tradition of snake-oil salesmen… to slake the thirst of a constituency in need of a cure.
Our Al, with his millions of scam dollars, has gone quietly to bed, knowing that the casino has again made a handsome profit. Why should the naïve virgins hear from him again?
Baaaahhhhhhh!

Well said about Gore. Let him go to sleep and dream about how he should have been remembered rather than how he will be.
Now to address the next scam artist, Obama and his Chicago
advisors. I wonder how history will judge him based on his present performance.
Both will have damaged this nation.

I saw Gore's movie and found it rather interesting. I then followed the saga about his mansion and electic bill, as well as, the private plane flights and I lost any faith I had in Al Gore.
As to global warming and the glacier melts, I have read enough to form an opinion now that the melts are going to occur but what is not mentioned is that new glaciers are also forming.
I do believe we need to protect our envionment and for that I thank Gore for making it an issue.

That is exactly the response I wanted to hear from a non- wingnut. At least you have the cajones (sp?), to admit AlGore is a complete self-serving, lying, farce. You probably won't believe this but, I too would like to see our earth preserved..... just not with lies and deception. There is a reason I moved from Atlanta to the Lake and it has everything to do with nature, solitude, etc.

We are all stewards of Spaceship Earth. We cannot be desecrating that over which we are given charge. For those of us with the appropriate skills and talents… as assigned by our maker… we are obligated to protect the future and mitigate the past. (I work to clean up unexploded ordnance and radioactive contamination)
True, professional scientists and engineers are compelled to employ GOOD science and DELIBERATE engineering to EFFECTIVELY solve REAL problems.
We cannot… must not… solve IMAGINARY or TRIVIAL problems with BAD science and ILLOGICAL engineering. Such is a waste of mankind’s resources and confidence. When God asks, “What are you doing?” his question should not be asked with incredulity.

Read an interesting piece about why Algore will likely remain silent. Apparently he has significant potential liability to investors in the various entities he created to take advantage of the AGW scam, primarily through shareholder lawsuits. Not to mention he could face civil lawsuits under RICO (racketeering laws) because he was part of a conspiracy to commit fraud. This allows payment of treble damages along with attorney's fees.
This attorney who wrote the piece indicated that if he represented Gore he would advise him to not say another word and to prepare himself for some serious disgorging of the tens of millions he has made on this scam. I look forward to the day when I am driving through Nashville and recognize the bum shuffling along the street as Algore. That is what he deserves.

...and Professor Jones (AGW, East Anglia University) should be required to write the six steps of the scientific method a thousand times and then defend his thesis (or dissertation) all over again… in front of a room full of grad students.
