Top Ten Observations with a Leg in a Cast
10. Casts must be made of rock, heavy rock.
9. You can click the up/down arrow on A\C thermostat with the end of a crutch. As a matter of fact, there are lots of things that can be retrieved and moved with the end of a crutch.
8. It is great to have a recliner, a laptop, a tv and a good view.
7. If you see crows in the front yard, and you have the .22 at the door ready for them, it is virtually impossible to get up, stumble to the door on crutches, and open the door.... without them flying away.
6. When dependent upon others for food, drink, remotes, etc. it is best to agree with them on how it is to be done.
5. You often find yourself saying "Now how do I get up from here? No, no.. don’t push up with that leg"
4. If you have one bad leg, you need a really GOOD other leg
3. Patience is a virtue. You hope you have some, and your wife has a LOT.
2. Baths are hard. You have to want to be clean. Thank goodness for a 4x4 outdoor shower with 2x4 ledges.
1. Timeouts at tv football games do not allow enough time to get to the bathroom and back on crutches.
