I agree with you about the frying part. Have fished North Ga years ago for trout. Was in Blairsville in October for a non fshing trip. Fried mullet is a big seller in the Florida Panhandle using what what you are selling. Few years ago our Lab got a whiff of something and went to the neighbors house. They had just finished frying mullet and dumped grease in the sand. Dog got sick and took her to the emergeny vet. They had to flush her out as she had eaten the sand. She was fine after that and the neighbor found another way to dispose of the grease.
