So now after their mission of hiding the truth was accomplished it appears that the used to be venerable Gray Lady (NYT) has admitted what we have known for over a year that Hunter Biden's laptop was authentic and not Russian disinformation.  So the question of the day is on what basis did the 51 "principled" former spies rely on for their now infamous letter claiming it was disinformation?  I can answer that........nothing, nada, zip zero.  It was TDS at its finest that allowed them to corruptly interfere with the 2020 election by LYING.....yes, LYING like low-life scumbags instead of honest brokers of information.  Every damn one of them should lose their security clearance and never work another day for the government.

Will they apologize?  Will they be held accountable for selling their souls to the Democrat party?  Not likely.  But know this, they are reprehensible human beings for having done this just to prop up a senile, corrupt old man and get rid of a President they hated.  And now we have a terrible mess on our hands both domestically and internationally....but hey, no mean tweets, right?  I for one could use a few mean tweets right now instead of this from the Federalist:

Turbocharging inflation, gumming up our supply chains, eliminating our nation's energy independence, sending gas prices soaring, rolling out the red carpet on our southern border, emboldening Russia and China, retreating from Afghanistan, demoralizing the world's mightiest military, enacting unconstitutional vaccine mandates, demagoguing our nation's voting laws, heightening tensions between and among the races, giving criminals carte blanche, enabling record fentanyl deaths, and siccing the DOJ on concerned parents. 

That pretty much sums up the first 14 months of Dementia Joe, not in the Oval Office but at his Delaware beach house.

It is but one of many things done in the 2020 cycle that denied us a Trump second term.  If you think the issues I listed are unimportant then you should be a writer for Bloomberg....you would fit right in.  Knowing whether a Presidential candidate and the Democrat nominee was utterly corrupt making millions from a very lucrative pay for play scheme being run by his crack addict son and likely compromised by China and Russia was important and could have swung the election.....hence the govt media censorship and the abject lies coming from these degenerate former govt employees. 

Apparently they couldn't trust the voter with the truth so they lied to influence an election.  Worse than prostitutes where at least they give a momentary pleasure......instead we got months of misery, incompetence and all that entails.  So no Goofy, this is important and should never happen again.  Now an obscure Senator making a stupid comment.....that is unimportant.  Soft porn pictures of Melania...unimportant.  I could go on but others get the drift and you never will.

yes, there are more important international issues to discuss and that DJ can only warn us that we may be held hostage to a cyber attack, because he has no clue how to stop Putin.

But, it was clear to me that Biden, who made a show of calling off the "investigation" of the Ukaine company that he and Hunter were engaged with.  Hunter is a slimebag, and DJ is a classic enabler.  Of course, most enablers don't get rich off of their slimeball kids.  Joe may want to 'splain it all away, but the laptop is proof and he lied to get elected.  Not the first politiican to do this, but he had so many years of skimming the system while a Senator, he can no longer tell right from wrong - eithical or unethical.  These politicians use their contacts not to just enrich themselves but their kids too.  

As far as Trump and the Ukraine, Ukraine lost no money because of Trump.  Some people had to scramble to get it obligated by the end of the Fiscal year, but they got every dime they were supposed to.  Trump is not the first President to hold up on security assistance to apply pressure to the recipient country to do something we wanted.  I didn't approve of what he did at the time, because I felt he was trying to use his position for personal political gain. But then, now that we know the full truth about Biden and his corruption, I'm not so sure that what he did was wrong.  Pelosi and the LTC were gunning for the President.  The LTC "went native" as we used to call it, when he got overly invested in Ukraine on a personal level.  He forgot that the "decider" is always the President.  Pelosi would have taken any mouse turd she could have found to blow into a mountain to try to "get" Trump.  

But Trump is now out of office, Biden is in office and Biden should be answerable, but he won't be, unless we get a major turnover in the midterm elections.

No doubt there are "more" important things but him taking my line in response to the post about Tuberville implied some level of equivalency......nothing could be further from the truth.  This is still important that we highlight this kind of deep state malevolence and dishonesty so in the future when something like this happens people can appropriately decide this is just partisan politics and not some principled stand by former intelligence personnel.  We need to put a very big filter on what any of these people say for the rest of their lives.  They cannot be trusted.

That's the key here really.  Now that we know the truth we can understand why Trump did what he did.  He knew there was corruption with the Biden's and Ukraine and everyone ridiculed him for stating it.  If what I think is going to come to light in the next few years about the 2020 election I think we will likewise better understand his fixation on it as well.  Time will tell but the list of things he said that were labeled conspiracy nonsense or without basis that have been proven true is getting longer and longer.  Just ask the Europeans and their reliance on Russia for oil and natural gas......they were warned by Trump and the media delighted in showing the German delegation laughing at him.....who's laughing now.  It was common sense then and it is common sense now and proves that there are truly some things that are so stupid that only the intellectual elite will believe them.

But the actions of these former intel hacks was reprehensible and they should never be trusted by anyone ever again.  To use their credibility and the weight of their former roles in government in the pursuit of partisan political hackery is the lowest of the low.  And now we know they are a bunch of abject liars that are willing to prostitute themselves for political gain.  All because of TDS.

I have to say that in the 15 years since I left Washington, things have only gotten more political and more corrupt.  Yes, there were always a few that did the bidding of a particular Administration, but they were usually policy weenies and not intelligence community.  I was sick to my stomach when I saw what they did with Bush to justify invading Iraq, and I honestly thought that would pass with Cheney and his particular band of Merrymen.  Instead, I've watched it become more entrenched and it sickens me.  What has happened to personal integrity and ethics?  That political nonsense used to stay on Hill and not find its way into the staff.  Some political appointees would try it and were generally slow rolled until they left.  Not anymore.  I'm very glad I am retired.

I'll bet you are.  IMO the problem is that the elected class, in their never ending quest to avoid doing anything to negatively impact their next election or be held accountable, has punted far too much to the administrative state.  In the past the legislators legislated and the bureaucracy generated rules to implement the laws that were passed.  Today the bureaucracy legislates with their own rulemaking and Congress lets them get away with it. And this is a bipartisan problem....not just one party...although Democrats have perfected it.

Once you invest that much power and influence it is going to attract ideologues who see this as a consequence free way to push forward their own beliefs.....and they don't answer to anyone.  Not voters and not elected officials that are supposed to do the will of the people.  There is a reason the civil service branch of the federal govt is overwhelmingly comprised of Democrats.  They know where the real power is and they are unafraid of wielding it.  Until Congress or the Executive Branch gets them under control it will only get worse....and we saw what they did to Trump when he ham handedly tried to do so. He had to be destroyed and that was also a bipartisan effort and it succeeded.

Yeah, I'm sure the VPOTUS goes all the way to Ukraine to get them to fire some prosecutor out of the goodness of his heart.  So called "Fact Checkers?!?!?!?  Sheesh, what a rube!!!

Regardless Biden threatened to withold aid money ( that we have been told that if it has already been appropriated the President does not have the power to stop it )  unless he got something - Quid pro quo - seems like that was an impeachable offense in the recent past as I recall.
