Trump previously returned classified documents. Why did he remove them from the WH? Why did he return them if he declassified all documents he took from the WH?

In January he returned 15 boxes which included classified documents.

In the spring, Trump was issued a subpoena seeking additional documents that it believed may have been in his possession. The former president was repeatedly urged by advisers to return what remained, despite what they described as his desire to continue to hold onto some documents.

In June, officials visited Mar-A-Lago and left with additional documents. His attorney signed a statement that all documents marked as classified and held in boxes in storage at Mar-A-Lago had been given back.

The search Monday turned up more classified documents.

Can anyone answer…. why he return classified documents in January and June if he had declassified all documents?

The answer is quite simple…none of the documents were ever declassified including the ones taken last Monday. Trump is lying.

Have to wonder who he shared the classified documents with? Did his numerous lawyers have  access and read the various classified documents? Did Baron and his buddies check out a few? How about cleaning staff or Secret Service?  Did anyone takes pictures with their phone? Was Trump going to use them as bargaining chips inorder to get deals from foreign leaders? 

So, the basic question remains if he really declassified the documents....why and what was his plan for them?

Anyone care to refute these facts or provide any answers?

This is much ado about nothing.  He was probably advised by his staff that he had the authority to unclassify documents and he just didn't adjust the markings.  The biggest concern with documents that are that old is that they could reveal methods and sources, and put people in jeapordy, and that would apply only to the TS/SCI.  No doubt that Trump probably still has his TS clearance (they read you off of SCI when you leave the government), and his safe had probably been approved as a classified container.  The TS/SCI documents are not supposed to leave the secure facility, known as a SCIFF.  Only those with a TS/SCI can be in the SCIFF.  

To me, this is just political theatre.  Democrats are trying to discredit him as a potential nominee for President again.   You can be sure if Trump announced that he wasn't going to run in 2024, all this would dry up.

Simple, Goofy. If the president declared them unclassified, no matter what residual markings they might have, they are unclassified.  When he was POTUS and CinC, he had the authority to do that.  As Hound said, much ado about nothing.  Just another insidious attempt by your Democrat colleagues to keep him off the 2024 ballot.  You pee in your pants at the possibility that he will once again face Biden because you know he will win.  And that is from a voter who would rather see Ron DeSantis as the Republican nominee.

Why did he return 15 boxes in January if they were declassified? Or, if they were classified why did he take them?  Why would Christopher Wray FBI go after Trump since he was appointed by  Trump and is a Republican? Doesn't make sense that it is a Democratic ploy?

Remember that Mar-a-Lago was the President's residence, so he likely didn't "take" them, they were brought to him by those that briefed him.  Likely they are "bullet" briefings and over 2 years old.  If he considered them unclassified, then he would have handed them over.  As far as claims of "nuclear" secrets - even those documents are 2 years or more old.  And all TS/SCI documents have to be handcarried in a special briefcase and I imagine that someone at his residence, there was a designated "SCIFF"  where he could read TS/SCI when in residence.  It would be a necessity.  This is why I say this is a lot of Hoopla over nothing.

I would care more if you had a different reaction to the classified information on Hillarys illegal server.  The fact that you excused her and her illegal actions in the destruction of government records that had been under subpoena makes your opinion worthless.

Do you have issues with the fact that Obamas documents have been hidden from public record for his "library" that was never digitized or made available in the last 7+ years?

Or that Biden has had his records sent to a University till after he is no longer a public figure.

if the answer to these three is anything other then they need an FBI raid to recover these documents - Sorry if I find your new found outrage over these types of documents to be anything but your standard BS Trump rant.

This is nothing more then one more time when you think you can stop him from running # 3472. 

At this point I will happily vote for him for no other reason then to just watch you go insane(well further insane) all over again.

In general, NARA will not make Obama Presidential records available to the public—in paper or digital formats—before January 2022. 

I recall when some of those documents were needed to be searched regarding Trump Russia that they were told they were not available because they were donated.  Unavailable for investigation ( in addition to hiding them from the public till this year.)

Care to comment on Biden locking his away till after he is done with public office - Lemme guess University of Deleware is now a NARA  site too - just locked up till Biden is 6 foot under....

Also noticed you did not have any issues with Hillary hammers to phones, bleachbit servers, and it was documented that she did have classified docs on her unsecure bathroom server.

I will happily give you the point that NARA may or may not have had posession of the Obama documents, but they have still been hidden from view and were denied access by government officials early in Trump's 1st term.

Fill us in on the rest of those - was Hillary's bathroom and her lawyers safe a NARA site?  Is Univ of Deleware?  Was the hammer and bleachbit an approved tool of NARA for the destruction of government records???????

I will just concur with CRD and let the courts  in NY, GA, DC, and FL determine the truth.

I blame Trump for not locking up Hillary. He campained on that and appointed a new FBI Director Wray and Barr yet nothing happened. I wonder if you, WIX, or CRD have any idea why? If she broke the law, she certainly should have had her day in court. 

As  to Obama and  Biden, I have no  idea about any of it and wonder if their action as you describe is criminal? If so, they should be indicted.

Parties don't matter to me...I am registered as No Party Affiliation.

But the only reason you dont have any idea about any of it is that it does not go against Trump or a republican.  Mr No Party affiliation.  They were not prosecuted because of the DOJ / FIB covered for them yet again and the investigation was dropped because of the optics of prosecuting someone running for POTUS - Something that the current regime has no issues with - they know that Trump is running even if he has not announced, and want to either bloody him up with everything they can or as they did with your favorite topic of Russia collusion will just make crap up and feed it to the media.
