Can anyone tell me where the best ramp and area is for jet skiing? And the closest to Auburn.

Use the public ramp on the river side of 280 just north of the river bridge.
That is about as far from my house as one can get.

All ramps on the south side of the lake, in particular, the ones closest to Auburn, have been closed to jet skis; strictly prohibitted. However, jet skiing is encouraged on the extreme north side of the lake. Glad I could help.

We have used the ramp off Centerport Road past Chucks Marina. Best place to jet ski is way out in the middle of the lake, far away from the quiet sloughs and coves (see posts from deepdiver & lamont).

All are good for Jet skiing, You can turn on Hwy 49 in Dadeville, then take Old Suzanna Rd to the end. Or go to the Dare Power Park. Or if you want to be close to Kowaliga you can put in at Kowaliga bridge.

There is an excellent public landing with spacious parking on County Road 34 (Paces Peninsula).... however, if you are coming the back way from Auburn, would be closer to use one on hwy 50.......

NO, not in the middle of the lake. That is BAD advice!!!!!! All of us loud, fast boats are out there. And, it seems I did hear something about the ramps being closed to jet skis' until December 1st.

Why do you think we are sending them out in your waters, CAT BOAT? I declare this open season on PWCs.

O.K. I see how to handle this..... If they hangout in the middle of the lake, then the only place for loud fast boats to ride safely is up in the quite less crowded sloughs. The water will be calm and we can REALLY go fast. That sounds like a good plan to me.

You are not following my program. I would like the big, fast, loud boats and the PWCs to cohabitate in the deep water and then have kind of a "survivol of the fittest", if you catch my drift. Capeche?

Seems to me that, your program is entirely beneficial to you! All you have to do is soak up the entertainment of "survival of the fitest"! I don't see this program of yours working to well for me. How about this..... All the PWC"s and go fast boats, and wake board boats stay in the quite calm sloughs, and leave the deep open water for those that choose to ride around in pontoon boats.

Don't have a pontoon. Guess that'll work for me. See ya in the slough.

Sounds like you might be packing a gun. I think i'll just stay out in the open water....... (all that was funny)

Laker Lady, As you probably already have noticed you cannot ask a simple question without being trashed along the way. All ramps are open and I have found that the early morning or late afternoon can be the best time to get out and just cruise without getting beat to death by the waves. All State ramps are free and I have used the one off centerport as well and it is very centrally located to the south eastern side of the lake. After reading the other posts I believe that all the other folks on this thread must do is sit at the computer, and B@#ch about what everyone else wants to do. Have fun and enjoy the lake!!!

Now THIS was the funniest thing I've read from you guys in a LONG time!!
Poor Lake Lady,.... if she believes everything ya'll say, we're REALLY in trouble!!!!!

Take if from anouther female on this "man forum"-
Lake Lady, don't listen to these fools,... you can put your PWC in wherever you want, just be careful of the fast -loud boats, eventhough "Catboat" does have mufflers now :) . If you've got kids that will be riding or driving, keep them out of the open waters, don't wear out your welcome in one slough and you won't get someone's pet "geese" sicked on ya! Have fun!

...Waverunner and cruise around just like others do in their regular ol' boat?
Would that be OK with you anti-PWC crowd?

Not flaming, just asking.

Go for it Blue Creeker. I sincerely hope you folks are taking my comments with a grain of salt. Got nothing against PWCs, big, fast loud boats, etc. Live and let live------------------ just not in my slough.

I would give Dare Power Park a look. It has a very large well lit 24/7/365 ramp on one side and the park on the other. It has very nice, sand swimming beaches, bath houses, picnic areas and covered pavillions. The pavilllions are subject to availabillity however, there always seems to be plenty of them. They can also be reserved if you want. It is also centrally located on the west side of the lake, which is not as rough as the east side ( Kowliga Bay area). Also the eagles nest is right there and can provide some awsome entertainment. The park is about 40 minutes from Auburn (mall area).

I think you have your east and west mixed up. According to my map, Dare Park is on the east side of the lake.

Thanks for the correction to the east / west situation. I am familar enough with the lake that I was not confused and knew that Dare Park is on the east side close to Dadeville.

This has been interesting and I appreciate all the help.
