We just got back from the lake after a month absence. We we left after Memorial Day we had two trash containers full of garbage. A month later....the large one was empty and the small one(an extra) was still full. Of course, after a month you can understand the decomposition factor!
We called Sunflower and they said that it had to be two feet away from the main bin. OK...it might have been three! Give me a break! I guess that the fact we pay when we are not there coiunts for nothing. Additionally, we have some cardboard boxes that need to be thrown away(too big for container), Sunflower said that would be an additional $75!

Is there another option? I will haul myself if there is a landfill close by!

Why don't we all take it up with the county commissioners--they are the ones that cut the contract with Sunflower -- They have a monopoly with the county and they know it.

If you are going to be here for a while be there when the truck comes and the driver will allow you to dump the caedboard and you will not have to haul it to the dump.

I've had a similar problem. I live at the lake and faithfully put out my trash on my assigned day. They have missed my entire street before. When I have called the next day to let them know...what do they do? They return to pick up my trash, only, and ignore the other bins on my street. Wierd things at work here.

.........also, don't forget to request a CREDIT for every missed pickup that they did not rectify.......if they were forced to give money back for ALL missed pickups, service would also improve hastily!

I have had a good experience with them but DON'T GET ME STARTED ON SEPTIC TANK INSTALLERS THOUGH. I GO POSTAL! YEAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.............
