Has anybody seen the latest APCO level projections on their website. It looks bad!

Could be well below 488 before July 1st.

Some folk`s are never happy. Be thankful that you are not on Lake Lanier. Enjoy the water while you can.
Peace.

You are so right about Lanier. We had our boat there many years ago and it was a nightmare -- even when full.

Lake Martin is SO MUCH better!

I do wish, however, that we could get some "minimal" tropical systems to help with the drought -- like in the summer of 2005.

Enjoy your weekend!

I just looked and was shocked what they were projecting. We need rain. Overall we are so lucky AL Power did what they did early this year and that was to plug the dam. They are generating power now but again, that is their business. I just hope we do get some serious rain from a not so serious tropical storm.

Dennis hit Pensacola and caused as much damage blowing debris piles around as Ivan did (Fall '04) with its storm surge. Katrina hit later that year. I can do with a drought if it means that I we don't have another 2005.

On the other hand, the lingering effects of this drought will likely motivate APCo to request another rule curve variance for the upcoming winter (i.e. 483' or 484' winter pool elevation). Hopefully they will initiate a request soon.

At top of page

- Change River to Tallapoosa

- Then change lake to Martin

- When to page reloads go to the bottom of the page to see APCo's projections.

I give up. Since the APCo site is a secure site https vs. http this website does not appear to like the secure designation.

So copy and paste the below into your browser.
