On Saturday, March 28th, at 8:30 PM join millions of people in 74 countries and trun off all nonessential lighting as part of Earth Hour 2009.

I did it last year and it didn't hurt a bit. If everyone participates, just think of the electricity we'll save just by turning out the lights. Candles are optional.

Hmmm,

Turn out the lights @ 8:30 saturday night and light candles... Like the concept.. Is it permissable to bring the candles to the deck with a couple glasses of wine and run the hottub?

I think I'll help stimulate the economy by turning all my lights on to help the power generators and the cute little curly flourescent bulb manufacturers ( even though all of them are in China).

My lights are off by 8:00 anyway...does that count?

What about all those babies that will be born 9 month from now? I remember up north that would happen nine months after a big snowstorm. :-)

compared to her or him, I'm a "night owl." I normally stay up til 8:15 but, I will make the sacrifice and turn em off at 8:00.
