Didn't you read the entire quoted piece? Are you really so blinded by ideology that you can't even see that the author says it is satire? Why do you continue to embarrass yourself like this, (although it does cause thinking people to laugh at you.)
give me a break. Most people on this forum haven't had a rational thought uncolored be blind and nutty rightwing ideology since election night 2008!! You have been an occasional exception but those exceptions are becoming rarer and rarer.
Next, you dismiss anyone who refuses to agree with you as being hypocritical, mand come across as angry. Seems to me that every time I rty to engage a liberal in thoughtful conversation, the liberal gets very angry.
Finally, I think for myself, and while not an active Tea Party member I agree with those folks' concern that the direction we have been going is WRONG and will ultimately weaken our nation. Apparently a lot of American voters during this past election agreed with me.
PS: W was no saint, should not have started the Iraq war the way he did, and had no exit strategy. That is not a liberal or conservative observation, just one that should be pretty obvious.
Those on the right can equally ascribe your posts to blind and nutty left wing ideology. And your espousing of numbers regarding the economy as being positive belie the fact that 1) the economy is partially recovering in spite of Obama's attempts to kill it and 2) are akin to trying to polish a (gross term deleted).

I am sure GF knows as well as you and I do that the article was tongue in cheek satire!!! Get off the high horse.
I know you will not believe this since you are looking through a "strong" (not extreme in your case) conservative right lens, but l have "strong" liberal left associates that think I am a bit too far right for comfort, after all I voted for several republicans in 2014 and have voted for the GOP candidate for president a s recently as 2004 (big mistake as it turns out). If that makes me a moderate (HORRORS) so be it. It is just that I strongly feel the current ideological gridlock in the country in general and congress specifically can only lead to eventual disaster for our nation. How is it that compromise today for both parties has come to mean "you completely abandon your position and accept mine and we have a deal"?
If you look at the last 5 years overall this recovery has been slower to recover than any since the Great depression, but if you look at the last 2 years it has exceeded the average for recoveries since the depression. Now that is a fact whether or not you and the rest of this forum like it!
Now Mr Hodja, since you commented on My post regarding whether we call this a war against Islam, Extreme Islam, Terrorists who claim to be Muslims, etc, etc, please give me your opinion of whether it is good for this to be seen as a religious war. Should this be looked on as a "Christian" war against "Islam"? I believe that whether it be such a war or not, if the Islamic world ever percieves it as such we have opend a Pandora's Box of horrors. How can the moderate Islamic nations that support our efforts survive if that becomes the perception. Each and every one would likely fall to ISIS or similar extreme elements. What happens then? I think President Obama realizes this and is trying to very hard to keep the lid on this pressure cooker while the Nut wing in Congress wants to blow it up!
And finally...I DO NOT accuse anyone who does not agree with me as "hypocritical". I DO accuse those with hypocrisy if they refuse to also condemn George W Bush for making the same statements that they so gladly condemn President Barack Obama for making!!! If you do not consider that a textbook example of hypocrisy then you don't use the same Websters as I do.
I see it as a religious war, but only in the minds of the Islamic extremists. Yes, Islamic. How many beheadings or burnings at the stake have been done by Catholics, Jews, Protestants, Hindus, Buddhists...the list can go on, but the only affirmative will come when you ask the question about Muslims. They are all done by those who profess allegiance to Allah and Mohammed.
We are not at war with Islam or The Muslim faith. We are at war with those Islamic extremists who are hell-bent on destruction of anyone or anything not 100% in agreement with their demented outlook. This is not a conflict of our choosing but one in which we must destroy our enemy because if we don't, they will destroy us. Existentialism 101.
And as far as moderate Muslim nations go,, ask Jordan and Egypt how they feel about their citizens, one Muslim, up to 21 Coptic Christian, being murdered in cold blood. For Obama to not acknowledge that which is obvious to everyone in the world is beyond ludicrous.
You are making mine, Copper's and the president's point Mr H. We are now directly or indirectly supported by most if the "Muslim" nations, moderate and not so moderate, with indications that that support is growing. How long do you expect these nations can continue to offer that support if their citizens come to perceive, correctly or incorrectly, that this is a religious war...Christian against Muslim? They ARE Muslim after all, and proud to be so! We tread on very dangerous ground when our "leaders" start saying or doing things that has the potential of turning 30% of the human race againt us!
Sorry, but I don't get the sense that we are trying to start a religious war against all Muslims, and I wonder if you aren't being a bit Chicken Little with your belief that moderate....uh, non-extremist Muslims think we are. Please point me to an article or speech....all of it, not just a selected snippet....by an American leader that would support your theory.
It isn't what "we" consider or know this is all about as much as what "they" think or perceive it to be about. No sane American (not sure that applies to some of the posters on this forum) is going to make a direct appeal to a religious war but some "leaders" on this side of the pond sure say things that can be mis-interpreted as such a call for Christian jihad. Calling for a "fight against inhuman actions by terrorist individuals who insult Islam by calling themselves Muslim" and calling for "war against the in human atrocities against innocents perpetrated by Islamic Jihadists" might mean the same thing to you and me but would likely be interpreted quite differently by a barely literate Muslim peasant!
