According to a report in the NYT the antibody cocktail (Regeneron) that MM's favorite anti-abortion president raved about as a COVID cure was develped using aborted fetal tissue cells.  WOW!  Maybe an impeachment conviction would have ''saved an unborn baby''!

PS:  Now I know MM is opposed to diversity on this forum and to that end has me on ignore, so somebody pass it along...tell him the ''baby killer'' posted something he will want to read.

He reads everything you post. As I understand it, and I maybe wrong, your post shows up until he logs in to post. The system has no way of knowing who is on until one logs in with name and password. So, all posts are there to read for the general public including MM. I guess when you post and control his mind with the truth, he will respond. We shall see.

"In order to test the potency of its antibodies, Regeneron made use of HEK 293T, a human cell line once derived from the tissue of an aborted fetus, according to the MIT Technology Review and The New York Times.

“293Ts were used in testing the antibodies’ ability to neutralize the virus,” Alexandra Bowie, a spokeswoman for Regeneron, confirmed to the Times. “They weren’t used in any other way, and fetal tissue was not used in the research.”"

As I have stated numerous times, Archie's curiosity stops after reading a NYT headline that hints that "Orange Man Bad".  The HEK293 and HEK293T cell lines have been around since the 70's and are noteworthy because of their ability to produce specific proteins.  It appears that labs can order HEK293 cells and incubate and grow them themselves for a certain number of passages before they have to be thinned out.  Humanized mice were also utilized in order to test for AB effectiveness of mutant spike proteins on SARS-CoV-2.  Fascinating research being performed in impressive time facilitated by Trump's team.

I am aware of this and that is why I often post in response to a particularily vile comment by Lifer.  OI do so knowing he will immediately pop off with the claim I am lying about having him on ''ignore'' because if I did ''you could not read my posts.''  Lifer is not the brightest porch light on the block.
