Those of you trying to decide between deeded property and APC leases should also consider the Lake Martin Law of Envy It Domain. This law specifically states that if you envy your neighbor's property and can prove that your neighbor has not viewed a sunset from their dock for thirty days, you can move your lounge chair over there and seize the property.

Good rule. Does that rule apply year-round, or just summer months?

Can I take it over if I haven't seen a bikini over there in more than 30 days? It's been punishing...:)

The Law of Envy It Domain is very specific about sunsets on the lake.

Staking such claims comes with eminent danger. Many peaceful appearing properties have the larger sized rat traps set in strategic locations. These rat traps have been rigged to strike the firing cap of 12 Gauge shotgun shells after light almost invisible 4 lb. monofilament fishing line has been tripped just above ankle level. Riff-raff attempting to stake a claim have often not seen another sunrise.
