Trying to figure out the best place and least crowded place to be for a boat load of kids and adults to have a good view of the fireworks on the 4th but stay as far away from the main boat traffic as possible. Would be coming from the chimney rock area up towards kowaliga bridge - any suggestions ?

after you pass Anchor Bay--turn left into big { Tallassee Slough--] go in about 500 yards--anchor--gets you out of main channel//traffic & great view--be safe!

hang out for about 30 minutes after it's done and let the crazies zoom by before returning home (or you will take the chance of getting run over)....another idea would be to pull into Harbor Docks (at Anchor Bay Marina) and enjoy a drink and a snack while things clear out.

Get in your car and drive to the Ampetheater. If you don't want to pay to park, go a little further and park at Time Capsule Park, right next to Church in the Pines. Very dangerous on the water, dark, speeding boats, rogue waves, etc.

After 20 years of watching the fireworks.....the best way to us is go to an area on LAND ...put out the grill...cook some burgers and drink some cold beverages...let the drunks leave before you and your night will be great !!! No more waterworks !!!
