Just got off the phone with Alabama Power and the State has been permitted to extend the Kowaliga and Pace Point Ramps in the next couple of weeks.

Alabama Power is suppose to be sending a list of all Public Boat ramps around Lake Martin showing the entity we need to contact regarding extending the ramps. With regards to Union ramp Alabama Power stated they have been placing rock at the end of the ramp to allow boats to continue to launch. Have not been down to this ramp, so do not know if this has helped or not.

Alabama Power stated they would be willing to work with any entity willing to extend the Public boat ramps.

Just an FYI.

Just called Wind Creek Marina and they told me their ramps were still open and that last weekend they launched a 20+ foot cabin cruisers without any issues. They did state that different ramps did have different depth of water. But they could not tell me how much water they had left on their ramps.

Also they stated they are still holding fishing tournaments and launching boats from the Park.

When we pulled our boat from the Wind Creek marina last Tuesday, they had to move the orange cones off the ramp for us to get it out. We measured the water in the first slip and it was 32 inches.

And that was a week ago when you pulled your boat out and the lake level was about a foot higher then based on the current level of 477.8.

So I guess I will drive down to Wind Creek next weekend and see how much ramp they have left, as I would think with all the up coming fishing tournaments they would need to have accessible ramps and I also have always heard they had relatively deep water ramps.

Not doubting you trackergirl, thank you for the information.
