Does anyone know the rules for duck hunting around the main lake? Can you hunt from the shore or do you have to be in a boat? I know you need to be a certain distnce from houses but dont know what other rules apply.

Alabama rules would apply, but good luck finding any. Maybe you could find a few woodies here and there. We never hunted them on the lake growing up. In all my years I cannot ever remember seeing a migrating ducks, except for the fat ones that hang around docks. You'd have to shoot them out of a nest in someone's yard, and I don't think that would go over very well.

my friends that are hard core duck hunters say that the Lake is not near a flyway and that is the reason why there are no "real" ducks in huntable numbers.
