We left 30 minutes before the concert was over, due to our reltively little pontoon being at max capacity (in reality...not placard...it would sink if maxed out I think) and not wanting to drown in the "ocean" of boats. How was it at peak after the concert was over? Same or more than fireworks? At least it was not fully dark yet. If it went as well as everything else, it should have been OK.

would have been ok if you didn't have to swim back to shore and walk to the Ampatheater to get your car.

It was scary as heck! I thought it would be like leaving after the fireworks but I guess because it was still light out the big boats decided speed was better than safety. REALLY had the water rocking! We came across a small boat that was taking on water and towed them back to Wind Creek. They said they had flagged down two or three other boats who just ignored them. One of the other boaters yelled at them and told them that they were going to cause a wreak. Isn't there a law that states you have to help, if the boat is in distress? We finally got back home at 12:00 am. It was a long day, but we had fun.

Well it is good that I stayed then.
As you all are tired of hearing about, the NC2 has 5 inches of free board and we almost were sunk 4th of July My 1000 gallon pump was just keeping up whit the influx.
I think many boats on the ocean don't have the problems that can happen on the lake when there is a mad rush to get home.

No problem at all for us. We hung out for about an hour and let the crowd get ahead of us.....probably would have waited a little longer, but BoatsRfun put out an APB for my boat ramp when he couldn't find it in the dark. BTW Drake, you made Chris quite happy by getting Larry and I out of the water to go home (LOL).

We had a fantastic time and thanks again for the use of your boat ramp!!!!
Oh ya, don't know if you were watching, but it took me several trys to get up your driveway (4 I think) but the old chevy pulled that 4600# boat up there (after a good running start..lol) we also went through a police road block on hwy 63 and prospect rd. (no problems)whew...peace.

It was time for me to go and don't feel bad for the call....Chris had been trying to get me out of the water for at least 30 minutes. Glad you made it home OK!

We left middle of last song. No problems at all. It was wild seeing all the boat lights. Easy trip to the north end of the lake. Very busy, but all were courteous and things went very smooth. It was a great event and I am glad we did not miss it!
