Just want to say how excited I am about the water level!  I moved away in May and have only been back to the Lake for Memorial Day and this past weekend.  I was expecting a little bit of dry land in front of the house to beach the kayak, but there wasn't any!  I'm loving being able to sit at the end of our peir and dip my feet in the water and tomorrow is August 1st!  Lake Martin has seen dry summers.  I've seen summers when we put boards out to get to what little water we had...So thankful we have such a beautiful Lake here in Alabama!

The lake was actually higher on August 1 in both 2013 and 2014, so this is actually a bit of "dry" spell. :-)

(I'm not sure the graph on the front page of this site is accurate, though, since it says we are currently a full foot below full pool. Twelve more inches of water right now and every dock in my slough would be submerged, and some of us would have water up to our back doors.)
