Subject:   T-Mobile reception?

Does anyone have service with T-Mobile on the lake? How is the reception. I would like to cancell my service with Nextel because the i60 phone that I carry is too bulky and they don't offer a smaller phone. A little hesitant to go with Alltell(?) because of the reception problems that I've heard that they have in Auburn, and I was never a fan of Cellular One. Any advise?

My T-Mobile is pretty good except for a few dead spots between the lake and Opelika on the back roads.

My T-mobile is great, everywhere but in my house....lol but if i walk up to the mailbox it is good there. I have flat lot, that I describe as being at the bottom of a bowl, so all cell phones have trouble in the house. At times mine is good inside. I have been all over the lake with it with no problems.

One of my neighbors even swapped to T-mobile after using mine when here because thirs would not pick up at all without having to drive a mile or so up the road with their former service.

I have been with Nextel and cingular, and have had by far the best all round service from T-mobile.

My T-Mobile reception works fine on the lake as well as at my lakehouse on the Dadeville side of the lake. There are a few places between the house and Dadeville where I have no signal and I experince some outages on the backroads to Auburn but the reception on the lake is very good.

My wife has T-Mobile and I have ATT. T-Mobile works great in the Sandy Creek area and ATT is spotty at best.

Excerpt from Central Alabama Business Journal:
"Nextel Partners announced a new store in Millbrook and expanded coverage in Alexander city and Lake Martin."
"The company's all-digital wireless network now extends along Highway 63 to Alexander City and around Lake Martin"

Thought you might like to know.
