Cell Phones/Walkie-Talkies

I hate to bring up an old topic ... but we are looking at switching to the cell phones with walkie-talkie service included. The two we are looking at are Alltel and Nextel.
We are particularly interested in knowing how the coverage is - both cellular and walkie-talkie - on the eastern side of the lake (Still Waters, Hwy 34, Hwy 50) as well as general coverage out on the water.
Any feedback -- positive or negative -- would be appreciated.
Thanks

works on the water pretty good, highways to the lake via equality - not so good. We really enjoy the 'walky talky' feature. Whatever you get, KNOW the return policy, and get them within enough time to test them during your visit to the lake.
I hate Nextel Customer Service, but love the phones, I90 here, pretty good, second one, last year the other took a swim, didn't survive 15 seconds of water.
good luck with your choice.
