Does anyone know if you are aloud to set off fireworks off at the end of your pier. As lond as you have water around it still.

The majority of fireworks are a go. Rockets which use a STICK a FIN or a RUDDER are under the ban.

When I called the Sherriff's office they were a bit unclear but most of the ban is being ignored now due to the recent rains. Go to Yahoo and enter ALABAMA FORRESTRY COMMSSION to read the exact letter of the law.

The "recent rains" have been spotty at best. I am on Paces Peninsula and have not had more than 0.25 inches in weeks...dry as a bone here. I believe Tallapoosa County is still under a county-wide ban on burning and fireworks. If someone has better or more updated info than this, please post. I sure hope that fireworks are kept to a minimum.

The Fire Station sign off of CR 34 in Dadeville says "No Fireworks"!

I called the Forestry 825-6960 and they advised just like Lakeshore advised. (The majority of fireworks are a go. Rockets which use a STICK a FIN or a RUDDER are under the ban.) He also advised its even beter if you do it off the end of your pier over water. If you have water at the end of your pier. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Read the Forestry Commissions information.... There is no ban on "all fireworks"

I plann on going into Dadeville and by some and put a show on form my children since we don't want to take the chance out there on the lake with the water hazard.

Sorry BD didn't mean anything by that correction. It just seemed so far off. I appologize. You are new to the forum. Where are you located on the lake and what is some of your background?

I have lived in Dadeville for about eight years and use to work for Tallapoosa S.O. after leaving the military but have moved onto better things.
