As of early this Wednesday morning, we are 479.54 which is up a foot since the Sunday rains. Although we had only .24 inch registered at our lake home, up stream must have been well over an inch. Even coming over the 280 bridge yesterday, the lake looks like the Chattahoochee River... muddy. In this case muddy is beautiful!

Lets all do a rain dance for the next few days! Last night the weather channel said we could get 3-4 inches of rain by next Tuesday according to their models. That would be huge! Better make whatever repairs are necessary for your docks this year asap.

I just noticed that the lake level graph switched from 1/10's of an inch increments to 1/2 inch increments (See Link). This is a good sign I think?

They are calling for up to inch or more of rain Thursday night and Friday morning.

I say we'll be above normal winter pool (480') by this Friday and headed to 490 on May 1st (as normal). I knew when APCO hired the little Dutch boy and his finger we would be in good shape. they knew what they were doing all along!

Isn't that 1/2 feet versus 1/2 inch rule?

One thing we all have to be aware of is even though the lake is rising, we can not compare it to winter pool anymore. As of this week we are now under the normal time for the lake to start it's rise. The Rule will fluctuate daily until we are at full pool... if we ever get there. Don't mean to sound down here, just stating what I have noticed on the daily charts.

That little Dutch Boy at the B'Ham office who manages the reservoir ops has done a terrific job with Harris. The continued slow rise in Martin this week after the last rain has been aided by repeated turbine discharges up river at Harris dam this week while Martin has not burped since Valentine's Day. Check out Harris squirts com'in down river measured at Wadley gage. Next storm due tomorrow night should boost surface flows throughout the watershed. We should be at 483 or more by Feb 28---hopefully.

Arnold, I've come to really like and appreciate the Wadley Gauge graph. Just hope that your EKG never resembles that waveform!
