Saxby in a landslide. It's laughable to me that all of this "change" crap is why people got out and voted for Obama. Most voted for Obama for 1 reason and I'll let you figure that out. Those same people, this time around, decided the Demacratic platform wasn't important enough to get out and vote yet, apparently, the Republicans did. How do you go from basically a dead heat on the presidential election day to 59% to 41% on non-presidential election day? Jes askin.

I think you are wrong. We didn't all vote for Obama because he is black. Most people voted for Obama because they didn't like the track the country was on. No doubt that some African Americans turned out to vote because Obama is African American, but that's not why he was elected.
Not familiar with the gentleman in question, but maybe he really is a good Congressman. There are a few. Some of them are even Republicans... hehehe

What you do think of his cabinet appointments so far?

Who said anything about voting for him because he is black? Not me however, it seems obvious the black vote did not show up for their white Democratic "change" candidate. Of course I realize racism only works 1 way. Oh yeah, I will let you know how I feel about his appointments once they have taken office and done something.

I don't think his appointments so far have shown much "change". Horseface Clinton??? Gimme a break!!

Mr. spearfisher what exactly does Mrs. Clinton's "horseface" have to do with the question asked?

Guess you don't like Mrs. Clinton?

Actually, to the surprise of everyone, she has proved herself to be a very hard working Senator. I've never admired her politics, but I think she's a pretty smart woman, and I suspect she'll be a good SecState.

I've been disappointed in Condoleeza Rice. She's done some good things internally at State, i.e. kicking some of those career foreign service officers out of Washington and back into the field; and kicking them out of the Embassy and making them get involved with the country where they are representing us. I don't know how many career foreign service people you've met, but they tend to pontificate and not do much.
Internationally, I don't see that Condi Rice has done much. I don't know if her relationship with the President has tied her hands or if that she is a Soviet specialist has colored her view of the world, but I thought she would do more. She's very, very intelligent and very accomplished.

I think racism can go both ways. There are black people that hate white people. I had one that worked for me. He would have nothing to do with his white colleagues or his white team leader. Very intelligent man, too. An engineer with a PhD.

But I think racism is wrong by anyone.

I don't like Mrs. Clinton or her politics however, there is no question regarding her intellect. It just happens to be mis-directed in my opinion.

In what way do you find her misdirected?

I suspect that the Clinton appointment was the tradeoff for Clinton support during the campaign. I think that Hiliary is worried about her legacy. Also, SecState trumps First Lady for street cred in the next election.

Primarily her National Health Care ideas. Did you see her proposals years back? That should be enough to scare anyone. In general, just her liberal views.

Yeah, her health care proposal was a mess. And I never have cared for her politics. I was glad she didn't get the nomination. But SecState? I don't think she can do that much harm. And I think she'll be tough.
