Has anyone else noticed that Wikipedia biographies of conservative individuals seem to be very negatively biased?  I read one not too long ago on a conservative whose name I don't remember and was taken aback at the negativity of the bio.  Didn't think about it again until I saw a commercial tonight featuring Sebastian Gorka and was curious about his background.  After reading the Wikipedia bio once again I found it to be very negative, with claims that in my opinion were not substantiated.  Any comments from the Peanut Gallery?  Similar observations?

Interesting post. What do feel is unsubstantiated? As I understand, anyone can contribute to a WIKI.

 If you scroll down on his WIKI,  you will  see 123 references. Also, he can correct errors per the following....

Wikipedia is a cesspool of misinformation and distortion.  In 2020 one of its co-founders (Larry Sanger) was quoted as saying that Wikipedia's neutral point of view was dead.  Here's one of many articles about the site which contradicts the claim that anyone can edit anything....not true.  Needless to say, leftists will disagree but remember, these are the same people that think the NYT and WaPo are middle of the road and cnn is a reliable source of news.

You've got me curious, because most of the time, I never read past the box that gives their basic details.  One of the media people who was filling in on one of the morning shows said she read her Wikipedia entry and didn't like it.  

As you know, if you are a conservative at this point, you are regarded negatively no matter who you are.

The thing of it is that conservatives are accused of such ill intentions by the far left and even some not-so-far left people.  It doesn't seem that those folks can understand or accept that conservative goals are for what, in the conservatives' minds, is good for the country and the difference in many cases from the left wing approach is the "how" of accomplishing those goals. 

I guess what bothers me the most is that left wingers (GF excepted) don't seem to be able to engage in a serious discussion without getting angry.  I know it is certainly that way with at least one member of my family and those he chooses to befriend.  Seems there is no room for logic and reason and a calm, intellectually-based discussion of the issues and how to solve them. 

And finally, the left wing seems to not be able to get to the "what" without expressing things in terms of "who".  In my mind logic and reason doesn't change based on gender, race, sexual orientation or any other such characteristic.

Is there really any difference between the thought process of the  Left or Right as to how they view the other????  I thnk not....

I have to agree with you.  So many leftists believe that every conservative accepts Trump as the spiritual leader of Conservatives.  When we try to explain to them that to agree with is policies does not mean that we embrace all of his behaviors.  And they won't listen and then they get angry and want to fight.  And don't dare say that Obama was not the greatest President - well, I guess he was if you value style over substance.

But it is not just the "how" but also a deep difference in the "what".  Liberals think big government is the solution to everything, Conservatives think that solutions can come from a variety of sources.  

I think we also deeply disagree about what the issues are. But I think the biggest problem is that neither side can see a point of compromise.  They no longer want to start with what they agree on but stay focused on what they don't agree on.

History.  The conservative approach is what made the US the most successful and wealthy country in the world.  The left wing approach embodied by the current leaders is socialism that has never succeeded in anything but bringing abject misery to everyone it touches....well, maybe except the ruling class.
