about coal plants. This is just coming out. How can people in PN and Ohio that has thousands of jobs that depend on coal vote for him. Obviously they did not know his thinking. BO also said to plan for significantly higher electric rates because of this until alternative sources are developed. Oh great, doesn't he think that would be just like a tax on people that can afford it the least. Or does he not care. Or will this mean more wealth has to be shared "according to need".

Here is his actual quote:

"So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them, because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted,"

Probably not the last surprise folks are gonna get from him...and so it begins. Gosh, you think folks should have looked a bit deeper into the guy's rhetoric before now?????

is that the mainstream media isn't finding this stuff, didn't find the illegal aunt on welfare, didn't find the brother living on $5 a day, didn't find the quote about creating a civilian security force, and on and on and on. This is why the dinosaur media is headed toward extinction and will be replaced by the alternate media. What is sad about that is we will totally lose a source of objective news. Conservatives will seek out their news from sources that they prefer and liberals will do likewise.

I suppose I should be happy because the liberal bias of the mainstream media has been apparent to all but the most ideologically blind on the left. They have been totally AWOL on finding out who Obama really is what he really plans for America and it is the last nail in their coffin.

If BO is elected there will be no more first amendment. The Sean Hannitys', Bill O'Reillys', and Fox news will no longer be allowed to tell the truth. The Constitution will be ratified to suit his views, and the Republic will be gone. It will be a very sad day

Barney will see that O'Reilly begins to spin the truth. Hannity only knows the truth from the Far Right. No loss if he goes. Just think the bias conservative FOX NEWS will be silenced and maybe we can begin to watch the Barney Frank Show nightly.

The Right is really paranoid.

I guess we will all see when our military is downgraded to a mere shadow of its former self, and someone decides to attack us. Where will you be? Like all the other pacifists, COWERING somewhere, wondering what did I vote for. Or better yet who will save me now? You can bet that it will be some of those far right wingers who actually believe in the Constitution, and who still own a gun, and cling to religion. I would also assume that you wouldn't care if someone took your right to free speech. Oh, thats right you don't mind you are voting for a socialist disguised in sheeps clothing. Sheep being led to slaughter, only when you get there and you think he is with you, guess what? Wrong!

You must live in a dream world. I assure you that the Right does not have a monopoly on either guns or religion. That is a myth you live by. It just is not advertised 24/7.

"The Sean Hannitys', Bill O'Reillys', and Fox news will no longer be allowed to tell the truth."

No longer? When did they start?

This goes perfectly with an observation I read today-- "The most vehement of the Republican faithful live in an alternative universe, fermented by decades of Rush Limbaugh's meretricious baloney and Sean Hannity's low-rent bullying."

Where did you read it, on the Daily Kos?

Let's see where is Air America today? Rush has 20 million listeners and Air America is a pathetic joke of a business (and I use pathetic because that seems to be a favorite word of yours). Name one successful liberal talk host that reaches anywhere near the audience as do all these people you hate and want to silence. The fact is liberals cannot compete in the arena of ideas, facts and logic and when they try to run a business based on liberal ideals it goes in the toilet.

That's OK Uncle Sam, we conservatives will continue to be the adults in the room running successful businesses, creating jobs for regular Americans, listening to intelligent talk, watching Fox New instead of aBS, nBS, cBS, pmsnBS, et al. And you can continue to pick quotes from the Huffington Post or Daily Kos political commissars that are just jealous of success they can never and will never have.

I await you vicious personal attacks where you wrap yourself in the flag and tell us all about your glorious service to our country while insulting those who have an opposing view. C'mon, don't disappoint....

GF, I agree that conservatives don't have a monopoly on guns and religion, but liberals do have a monopoly on gun control and secularism. Not all liberals obviously, but if you look at both of those issues liberals comprise the overwhelming majority of gun control proponents and secularists.

Why do you think that our military will be whittled away to nothing? Obama has not talked about cutting defense. If our military whittles away to nothing, you can thank Bush -- those repeated deployments of our reserves, and them losing their jobs when employers can't hold their jobs for them. Who will sign up for the Reserves in the future? The military has already had to do something they said that they would never do again -- take high school drop outs, those will criminal records and other lower standards to satisfy their need for assets.
