If you are on the Lake this week and trying to use the Verizon Wireless it is horrible and definitely broken but Verizon will not admit it. I have called and put in a "ticket" and I think others have but we need to flood them with complaints. It only takes a few minutes but we need to hit them up more or it won't be fixed. I have used it for years and I have talked to many others and it has been posted here by others that they think it's broken too...just a plea for more calls...

It may be just a bandwidth problem. Just be glad you don’t have AT&T! (Had to abandon that expensive mal-function once I moved to the lake.)

So far, our Verizon has been working fine (east side of the lake).

I am in the Stillwaters area, been here for 7 days, srevice has been coming and going all day, really bad in the afternoon. Using the 4g device, always has been good, they must have some sort of problem.

I talked to them for about 40 minutes yesterday and worked my way through 2 layers of technical support. They are sending someone to the area to investigate. They also admitted they have a nationwide problem in various areas that seems to be caused by new software and a new billing plan setup they just launched. Many folks on older plans are experiencing problems. The guy I ending up talking to the most was very helpful and he said everyone experiencing problems should call and let them know. They are working on a solution and want to document where the problems are. When you call, go to tech support. The first level will probably have you do a reset on your phone. When that doesn't work, the second level will ask more questions and then put in a work order to investigate. Let them know that the data issue in this area is wide spread, not limited to one tower, and that you know many Verizon users with the same issue. In my case, voice and texting work fine but the data stream is almost non-existent.

I've not had any problems. I had checked this (Wednesday, 4 July) morning and just checked it at 5 PM and get about the same 3G speed: 1.3 M download and 300 K up. That's about par for the course any time since we've been here.

I had Verizon until recently and had NO problem. Now I have Straight Talk...which operates on the Verizon network and have had no problem. Maybe you are not holding your mouth right?

Still awful in Holiday Shores area yesterday. After checking a few times found that while the download speed was decent (for dialup) the upload was running at .01Mbps. Yes, .01

I think that's affecting the handshake on packets, or such.

Luckily I'm headed out for the summer, so good luck to you guys. Hope you get if fixed before next year!
