Today, we looked forward to going to Kowaliga's for lunch. We had gone to both Sinclair's and Cecil's every week for years and looked for something special. Unfortunately we were very disappointed.
The menu at Cecil's and Sinclair's offered a better selection. I had a dried out small piece of chicken on a bun with dressing running out the sides so I ate it with a knife and fork. My wife's meal was no better. She left most of her meal. The selection for the sandwich sides should also allow the selection of the dinner sides.
They rebuilt the inside but I saw no improvement.
In my opinion they need a new cook and menu.
On the plus side the eating utensils were much better and the servers tried well but need more experience.

respect your opinion. I have been 3 times trying to get good feel for what the new situation is.
I agree that the new menu is somewhat limited, but think that will allow them to make the offerings good and consistent. The early impression for us was "pretty good" food, and "lets give them a little time".
As to appearance of the place and attitude/friendliness of staff--already very good.
In my opinion, we really need such a great location to succeed. I choose to continue to go some and hope they get through some early growing pains.

My family of four and a couple friends went to try it out, hoping for a good meal on the water. I wasn't expecting anything fancy, just a decent meal. We got there around 1:30 and there was a 30 min wait, which is fine. It was a nice day and we did not mind waiting. Once we got seated it was another hour before we got our food. I was disappointed at that, even though it was their third day being open. They obviously need to let things settle before I have my final opinion, but my first impressions were not great. My burger was something like I would have gotten at a little league ball park, except $9. My wife got a catfish Poboy, which was better than my burger, but not that great. You could really tell the staff was still new at things as they were not quick about anything. Everyone was nice which is what I would expect, but nice didn't bring the food any quicker. I will go back at a later date, hopefully when some of the kinks have been worked out, but it will be a while.
