What does your wave runner get up to?

Our Yamaha's have hit 70 with a tail wind and going down hill, but typically it pushes the 65 range.

I rode with AuTiger a few weekends ago, he has a really nice kawasaki. We were neck and neck all the way up to top end. neither one of us could really outrun the other.

Do you know how fast yours are yet or are you still breaking them in? I believe yours were new right? I am assuming you haven't crossed the 10 hour mark yet where you can open em up?

Yea they only have 2 hours on them. I hit the throttle for about 3 seconds and saw 52, don't think they are going to go fast than that. Mainly for cruising. Still fun for what we would like and need them for. Saldy though they first day with only 1 hour on them my father-in-law was pulling in the boat slip and damaged the hull, not too bad they'll fix it at the 10 hour mark.

Did you get them at one of the Russell Lands Marinas?Talked to a guy at the rock Friday that had bought his a a Russell Marina. He was at his ten hour service mark and they told him it would be 3 weeks before they would be able to get to it!!Not much maintance other than changing the oil at ten hours but if you should do it your self you might screw nup your warrenty. That is the main reason i got the Kawasaki from Lakeside at Blue Creek.Took mine in for the 10 hour service and they told me if i wanted they would do it then and i could pick it back up in a couple hours.Great service at Lakeside.Mine runs 63 but will hit 67 on the dreamomemter.

Bham,

It's hard to run your ski's at the slow speeds when you first get them. I cannot stress enough how important it is to follow the manufacturers guidelines for the break in period. This will set the course for all of the years to come. If you break them in wrong, you will know about it later on. (You wonder how I know this?)

You can get through the break in period pretty quickly and it sounds like you are already on your way. If you need somewhere to ride while your breaking them in swing by our house for a cold one !
