This could be a scheme APCO has cooked up to facilitate the harvesting of the heart pine that have been immersed all these years on the lake bed. Taking advantage of the situation. We never heard wheather or not APCO ok'ed the request for removal.

I doubt it, because most of the old trees are in water so deep that 15 or 20 feet isn't going to make much of a difference when it comes to salvage.

But if they did plan this drought, I'm impressed. Not happy about it, but impressed that they could pull it off. :-)

Mythbuster - you have it totally wrong - of course George Bush created this drought. As you must know, he created Katrina and directed it to hit New Orleans.

You both are wrong. Ben Russell caused the drought so RL could buy up the property left vacant by those whole need a full pool to enjoy the lake.
