I don't know about that but what I find distasteful is people of the U.S. electing presidents who hate the military and will run to other countries rather than serve in the military to defend our freedom but when elected don't have any qualms about sending troops into battle.
Now what do you find so distasteful about the Confederate flag?

I firmly believe that if someone is so ignorant as to be offended by a Confederate flag in Tallapoosa County Alabama then maybe they should stay north of the mason dixon line to avoid exposure. And let me assure you Delta is ready when you are!!

Well, I find it divisive and I think, during this time in America, we should do all we can NOT to divide but instead to unite as Americans. I would have loved to see the American flag flying there.

Do you find these things divisive?? Black Entertainment Network, National Negro College Fund, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Miss Black America.................I could go on forever, but my point is nobody will ever say those are divisive because that is not politically correct. Can you imagine the stroke that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would have if someone started a White Entertainment Network or a college fund just for white people. The problem is America no longer has the balls to stand up to these idiots and tell them they are not gonna take it anymore.

We really do not know why or the real intent as to the purpose the flag is flying. I am not in authority to be judging someone. Maybe the flag was being flown in honor of Gen R. E. Lee,s birthday which is celebrated along with M. L. K. s birthday this week. Any way the right to fly that flag or to wear a Malcom X tee shirt are one of the very reasons(freedom of speach or expression) our soldiers are fighting and dieing as we speak.Are those who fought under the Confederate flag anything less than hero,s . I should hope not. Maybe you should stop by and visit with whom ever and yall could chat. Yall mignt agree to disagree. You might be broke down on the side of the road in bad storm one night ......and someone stops to help. Are you going to ask them what kind of flag they fly .... you never know. I just try to think the best. Right or wrong someone flying that flag is low on the priority list of things that needs fixed.

Lakeman, SPEARFISHER, Farmboy - I agree with your positions. I am from the North and see nothing wrong with flying the Confederate flag. It should be respected. I also have the "Heart of Dixie" on my license plate.

If you find it distasteful, then you should move north! I am proud of my heritage, southern born and southern bred, but that DOES NOT make me racist, as you seem to think OUR flag does!
Why don't you gripe about the Canadian flags flying all over Florida? Isn't Florida in AMERICA?
You should be spending more of your time learning about America's history rather than posting such anti-American, anti-south posts!
Oh....and remember...........VOTE REPUBLICAN!
