We too had a burglary about 3 weeks ago. We live across from Chuck's on the Turner Road side. We also contacted Furlong's security. It happened between noon on Monday and noon on Thursday. They were neat crooks, but caused some damage getting in.

I have a friend that lives on the Turner Rd side. A few weeks back, a drunk walked all the way up to his dock and asked to use a landline. He made them nervous. He had to be told to leave. What has been stolen from your houses? Any booze?

We live off Centerport Road and had some vandalism a few months back. Two houses were broke into but nothing really was stolen. We assumed it was kids. However, we did have a lot of calls and concern. We have put several alarms in our neighborhood. We live in Georgia but come over every weekend. We have an alarm business and have been putting in alarms and low voltage since 1978. Please call if anyone has any questions or concerns. It never hurts to be more cautious!

I am also in the centerport area. Not to cause alarm but the sex offender that moved in the area had a long rap sheet for burglary in addition to rape. I had heard he had possibly moved away. Not sure if that is true. I would hope the police have already looked into this.

Your friend is my neighbor. He told us about that person. I think it was just a drunk kid...but then, that might be what's happening. The sherriff who came to file the report asked me if I had any alcohol. I checked the one beer in the frig, and it was still there.LOL He said that a lot of the burglaries involved theft of food and/or alcohol.
