Just wanted to give the folks who might have some property at Pleasure Point an update.  It seems that many people are breaking down the add-ons and decks and piers to salvage anything of value before the end comes.  In the process it seems there are some that take it upon themselves that if a place looks "abandoned" they help themselves to the property.  If you have a place up there and have not taken the steps to start recovering your property, there seems to be some folks who are helping out without you even asking.  They stole several items from my dad's place.  Many of the trailers are gone now and some places are being used as normal. I guess they are going to get all the time they can out of the place before they have to go????  But if you want your belongings, you better be making plans to go get it.

As the trailers are removed the land layout becomes a little clearer and I am here to say that within 2 years that place will be loaded with beautiful homes.  A couple of "lookout" spots on the hill tops are absolutely beautiful places for a home.  There is no doubt in my mind that the loving folks who own the place are definitely fixing to cash in big time.  So sad for some of those people.  Many live there and are not just "weekend people".  That witch who ran the place should find her place at a legal table in a courtroom for all the stuff she "hid" until hiding was no longer an option.  Absolutely pathetic.

I'm sure the land will be restored to it's natural state. It certainly won't be used to turn a profit. The companies involved are good citizens and just want whats best for the environment.

I'm hoping to get hired to do public relations for them. I was practicing my lies ability to tell the honest truth.

I agree that they have something in mind for the area, they did not include the Marina, boat ramp or boat storage areas in the map that showed the rest of the park to be removed. I had one of the best ots in the part in my opinion, it is on the west side just south of the Marina it looked to the Wcker point area and we had some of the best sunsets you will ever see on lake martin. We really miss the place and Lake martin. So sad what happened there.
