Where is the BIG fireworks show for the 4th of July?? I am in Stillwaters area. Is it better to go by water or land??? Hopefully, we will have enough water!!! Any info will be helpful. Thanks

Didn't you hear - show is cancelled due to projected fire hazard from dry lakebed.

We have seen them by both land and water and "best" depends...do you want to see the concerts held at the Amphitheatre before, or not. We enjoyed picnicing at the amphitheatre as the sun went down, and we have enjoyed being on the water near the old DIxie Sailing Club and watching it on the boat. Unless you're really familiar with the lake and its underwater hazards, nighttime nagigation can be tricky. Especially when everyone cranks up at the same time. Enjoy!

Oh No, Oh Dear!
You have insinuated the lake is not 99% full! You will be blasted at any given moment for ignorance, whining and not appreciating the lake!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't let Forum Manager see this post or you're in for it!
LOL
Everyone have a great day!

Capt D, I believe I remember that you are "new to the lake" from earlier posts. If so, GET A FRIEND that is more knowledgeable of the lake at night and go together; it is dangerous out there on the water the night of the fireworks show. Too many boats, leaving at the same time after the show, and going to fast. Good luck and enjoy the show, it is worth whatever it takes from either venue.

It may slow down all of the crazies after the show.....if it doesnt, that pile of lower units is bound to get bigger.

Thanks mbk for your comment. I do feel a little lost on this big lake. Since water is so low, I will probably go by land.
