Has anyone checked out the latest price on the documents being auctioned by Rush Limbaugh on e-bay? It's up to $851,100.00. Just watched the intervew on Fox News with Shawn. Pretty wild. I know the marines families are happy about the auction. Wow!

I saw it this afternoon and posteda link to the e-bay page on the Off Topic forum. Blew my mind. Last I heard it was at 40K. He was on Glenn Beck this evening too. Rush is going to MATCH whatever the final bid is also. I know Dirty Harry is shaking his head wondering where he went wrong with this one.

I doubt he expected it to take off this well when he made the match offer. Sure he makes $1MM/day but that's still a big number to match. Probably cheap advertising in the end.

Perhaps a couple ultra-rich ultra-libs will bid it completely over the top simply to cost him more. Anyone know Gates' affliation? Food for the conspiracy theorists.....

Yes, it is just awesome. Rush has turned this misguided attack on himself into something very positive and constructive. My son is a Marine Corps officer and even if he was not, I would like to say to Rush...Bravo!

Well at least the money is going to a good cause (scholarships for children of military or first responders killed in action) and unlike Harry Reid, Rush puts his money where his mouth is. Its no wonder Congress has ratings lower than Bush if they choose to spend their time attacking a private citizen from the floor of the Senate.

I had heard that Rush was going to publicly challenge Harry Reid and other senators to match the amount put up on E-Bay and to put THEIR money where their mouth is. I think I can go out on a limb (ha!) and predict that they will not do that. I hope that Reid's constituents are paying attention and that he will not be re-elected when his time comes up but, I don't know, seems like a lot of people don't really care about accountability any more.
