Since people have discussed this topic before, I will provide an update. The restaurant at Anchor Bay is now open under the name "Suzy Q's Catfish House" (or something very close to that). The owner is new to the food service industry and seems very motivated to make people happy.

Also, they do have a liquor license....

Can they cook Catfish & Hushpuppies?

I had the catfish on Friday, PP didn't have any, just a hamburger. I thought the catfish was good, but the hushpuppies (or shutupdogs, as my daddy liked to call them) were wonderful.

And for those of you who like peppers, they have an appetizer called Bottle Top Poppers, which are sliced jalepenos cooked and they were excellent. Our table tried a large amount of the appetizers and I don't remember hearing any complaints.

I will say, the only thing I noticed is that a large portion of the menu was fried. By the time we went back on Sunday she had added some items that were not.... I was happy to see that.
