$58 billion in quaterly gross, almost $14 billion in profits for the quarter, a total worth of $760 billion, the most successful business on the planet today.
Strangely, this company is located and continuing to expand in that high tax "liberal" bastion of California...how is this possible...why haven't they moved to a low tax corporate friendly haven such as Mississippi or Alabama? Must be because they don't mind paying taxes if it means they get a well educated work force, state of the art technology and infra-structure, and a concern for all the citizens. They also of course believe in and show public concern for the global warming "hoax" and so does California. Still, it's hard to understand why they seem to be so committed to a Godless Sodom and Gamorrah like California. Of course it might have something to do with a CEO who is openly Gay!
Hey, now that l think about, l believe most of the sons of the old south, especially the ones on this forum, would just as soon have you stay right where you are suh!
Oh BTW MM, a restraining order sounds exciting, but I leave tomorrow for a month in England and Scotland so it may have to wait. If you don't hear from me in May don't get the idea that I've turned chicken...It just means I have more exciting things to do than talk to a self important legend in his own mind jerk in Alabama. Cheers...maybe Ill drive by the Jokes Forum from the Isle of Mull.

Apple pays no tax to California. Rather, they operate as a Nevada company. Nevada has no state income tax.

Thanks GF, but I wasn't making a comment on their tax payments or where they pay them. I was commenting on one of the world's most admired companies making money hand over fist under the guidance of a gay CEO and with the bulk or their operations and employees in a far left state, a state that actually more often than not delivers on the taxes it does collect as opposed to what we get here in GA and AL!

I'm sure you are aware that that Apple's gay CEO is a graduate of Auburn University, located in that terrible state of Alabama.

Not having read Archie's post of course, but I glean from yours that he was not only crowing about how much they made but they also paid a lot of taxes in California. On the latter point I can assure you he is correct. Even if they are a Nevada corporation they would have to be registered as a foreign corporation to do business in California and would be subject to all sorts of local and state taxes. Having an office in California I am well acquainted with their ability to tax the loving he!! out of businesses. I guarantee you they pay a ton of taxes in that God forsaken state.

I believe I had been so informed. Alabama is a wonderful state populated by mostly fine people. Unfortunately, like Georgia, Alabama is not well served by its "leaders". We see daily evidence the belief that the Neanderthals are exstinct is incorrect...they are alive and well sitting in state legislatures all over the south.

I would be remiss if I didn't point out that Apple doesn'at actually pay any taxes anywhere. They are merely a tax collection agency. Those consumers that purchase their products pay the taxes that pass through Apple's hands. When you buy an ipod, iphone, imac, etc. the cost of those taxes are included in the purchase price. But I can assure you Apple takes lots of their customer's money and gives it to the state of California in the form of taxes.
