That certainly applies to Cat Boat. They stated on CNN News this afternoon that 18 of the 26 major refineries are shutting down for Rita. It then takes two weeks for a refinery to start producing again after a shut down. That is if there is no damage. Some experts are forecasting major gas shortages and up to $5.00 a gallon. I hope this does not happen, and I am just a messenger to what I heard.
What did you say Cat Boat? (300 gallon tank) Is that premium?
One of my three vehicles only takes 26 gallons of leaded 100 octane.

I don't blame her. That was a dream car and sooooooo highly collectible. I have owned a 61 and a 77 L-82. Still wish I had the 61. Hope the newer ones are better than the 77.
I have to hand it to you. You must know your cars. Not many would of guessed the old RR.

Well, it is 200 gallons, but I have no big riding plans, except for maybe a little ride on the Alabama River Sunday. I sure dont want to see $5 a gallon.

Feb, I have been working on automibles since I was 13 yrs. old, Had drag cars back in the late 50`s and early 60`s. First the dealer sponsered cars got involved, then the factory, that drove us shade trees out, could not compete, did not have the dollars,we ran for throphies not money. I had a 57 Bel Aire Sport Coupe that a Ford could not catch on a 1/4 mile strip until Larry Yates who drove a dealer sponsered 62 Starliner out of Al. he barely got me. Gave it up when I got married and went in the Army. But have owned a lot of cars, as most of us have, that we wish we had back.

More proof that gasoline prices are out of control: I pulled into a full service gas station today and asked for five dollars worth of gas. The guy took my five, farted and walked away.

I don't forgive you either. I would give my left or right or both kahunas for a split window coupe. I use to own a 63 roadster, 327, 345 Hp... I'm starting to worry about you Jim...I would not be surprised if your wife didn't kill you in your sleep :-O

I ran in a class called Supper Stock back in those days some time ran cheating 4 barrel. The car that you refer to would run it the Altered class. I had to drive my cars to work . Also had a 55 210 that ran pretty good in the D gas class.
