WASHINGTON—Despite insisting several times during the first presidential debate that he had never won the U.S. Senate Miss Congeniality award due to his maverick, no-holds-barred legislating style, John McCain was recently revealed to have twice secured the much-coveted congressional superlative during his four terms in office. "This just proves that Sen. McCain is not only willing to lie to the American people, but that he is also perky, helpful, and exceedingly amiable around the Senate," said MSNBC political analyst Keith Olbermann of the documents that have recently come to light, including copies of both award certificates as well as photos of McCain handing out freshly baked cupcakes to the Senate Subcommittee on Appropriations. "American voters feel duped. This allegation runs completely counter to the gruff and unpredictable rebel persona that McCain has carefully cultivated." According to a statement released by the McCain campaign, the senator deeply regrets misleading the American public in regard to his bubbly personality, but remains proud of his seven consecutive U.S. Senate "Best In Swimsuit" wins.

don't quote Keith O. (who is a disgrace to the generally disgraceful job of journalist.....the only profession with lower approval ratings than congress). If someone does or says something stupid they deserve the monicker until they prove otherwise. Of all the liberals on this forum, GF has proven himself to be the most ridiculous, especially his post about where McCain was born. If he subscribes to that kind of evil, nauseating idiocy then he deserves to be called stupid. If my Dad were still alive (Korean War vet) he would have a lot more than that to say. And my brother, a Vietnam vet who is a quadraplegic would try to get out of his chair if anyone implies that someone who was born outside the U.S. while their father served in the military is not eligible to be President of the U.S.
He has got my blood boiling and I am not going to let him off the hook. We can respectfully disagree about policy, politics, worldview, etc. but not the tact this person is taking. Sorry for the rant but this one deserves a rant.

But, apparently, not so much fun that MartiniMan wants to use them. Keith Olbermann was NOT "removed from MSNBC." He was removed from the post-debate coverage show, but he still has his usual nightly show. (So in essence, he'll appear on MSNBC for four fewer hours over the next four years than he thought he would a couple of weeks ago. But I guess that's the same as being removed from the network, huh?)
I'll bet you can tell me all about his show, even though you've never watched a single second of it, right?

I realize he was removed from convention coverage and not from PMSNBC! Maybe I need to type more slowly when I am incensed.....my main point and one that is lost on liberals is that KO is a complete disgrace and has shown that he is not a journalist but is a partisan hack. Unlike people like Hannity he claims to be a journalist which is a joke. There is a reason no one watches PMSNBC.....oh wait a second, I mean there is a reason that PMSNBC has such low ratings.

I have watched his show on several occasions and found it to bounce around from stupid, inane, ridiculous, childish and then back to stupid. So my opinion of him is informed and accurate.
