You seem quite adament about waiting the extra 2 weeks before plugging the dam. Is it possible that you don't see things from a logical perspective?
1)My boat is in storage and if I can get it out 2 weeks early, it will save me money.
2)Some folks aren't wimpy, and don't mind being on the water in cold water. You must not fish.
3)Why do things the way we have always done them? Were you here in '29 when they started up?

You are wasting your time with D'dumb the miserable old SOB. He is bitter and just likes to go against conventional wisdom and logic. This probably stems from getting his @$$ kicked consistently on the playground as a kid. Only a complete and total social reject, inbred, outcast would share his ill informed ignorant opinions. We have much work to do in order to rid this lake of "non desirables" such as him. Keep up the good work and perhaps on the next real estate boom we will price him right out of the market :)

I would love for the lake to be filled early. I just don't think it's going to happen. Sorry to get you guys so fired up.

In the Lake Living Magazine they said the drought is over. We are back to normal rainfall and the spring is expected to be normal to slightly higher rainfall. I know some like the water down, but I would love bringing the level up earlier or not going down to 480 or lower. To me 482 to 484 would be a great winter level.

I'm hoping the water stays down for a bit longer for a purely personal and selfish reason -- the building of our boat house is starting this week. Yup, I'd like to save some money. My bad.
