You're an 19 year old kid. You're critically wounded, and dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley , 11-14-1965, LZ X-ray, Vietnam . Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8 - 1, and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the MediVac helicopters to stop coming in. You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns, and you know you're not getting out. Your family is 1/2 way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.
Then, over the machine gun noise, you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter, and you look up to see an un-armed Huey, but it doesn't seem real, because no Medi-Vac markings are on it.
Ed Freeman is coming for you. He's not Medi-Vac, so it's not his job, but he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire, after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come. He's coming anyway.
And he drops it in, and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 2 or 3 of you on board. Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire, to the Doctors and Nurses.
And, he kept coming back.... 13 more times..... And took about 30 of you and your buddies out, who would never have gotten out.
Medal of Honor Recipient, Ed Freeman,died last Wednesday at the age of 80, in Boise, ID ......May God rest his soul.....
I bet you didn't hear about this hero's passing, but we sure were told a whole bunch about some Hip-Hop Coward beating the crap out of his "girlfriend"

but I saw his story on the news last week. NBC news covered it and it was on MSNBC. Probably on other news outlets as well.
What planet do you live on?
I'm sure you can tell me if Rush Limbaugh covered it.

I live on Planet Alabama which is not near planet Obama, your home planet. Your credibility is poor in my sight after the many instances of you refusing to admit that Obama bowed to the Saudi King. The fact that you make a statement that it was on NBC does not mean diddly do.

BTW, You were the one that made the assertion that none of the major news outlets carried the story. Sorry you are wrong. Why would I lie about something like that?
But, I don't see you admitting this.
Your estimation of my credibility means nothing because all I see you doing is passing on rumors and conjecture. You should get off Planet Alabama once in a while and get out in the world.

Suppose I were to write on this forum that I lived in DC and also asserted that I traveled in circles with Pentagon Brass and major defense contractors. Does that mean that this really happened or I was just a good story teller. Maybe that's who you are. Just because I put on a bear suit does not make me a bear. Why would I make such a thing up? I think if I were going to tell stories and make things up, I would make it much more interesting.
I'm okay with who I am, so I don't have to invent another persona for the internet. If you met me in person, you'd find that I'm exactly like I am here -- except I probably smile more in person.
As far as your bear suit, I hope you get it off before summer. Very hot, I would think.

For your info, he died in August, 2008 (not last Wednesday). And I know NPR did a feature on him, as did The Week magazine, as the town he was from named a post office after him. I also believe much of the media did. I believe your post was a 'cut and paste' e-mail. Maybe you should check your facts before posting that stuff.
