We were at the lake last week from Monday through Thursday. By far our best dining treat was at LaPosada's. The waiters were very attentive as others have said and the food was excellent. That was our 1st time going there, but it will not be our last.

Oskar's was solid as usual. No complaints there.

Niffer's was just average to below average. Two of us got burgers and they were good. The other three of us were unhappy with the food. The service was terrible. When told the chips were stale, the waiter's response was "really?" I expected better than that.

Next time down, give the Grillling Shack a try for dinner, you won't be disappointed. Just a few minutes off 280 at 868 Gibson Rd. near Dadevile. Ribs are awesome and the steaks are cooked just right. It has become a normal stop for us on the weekend. And if something is not right, just ask for John, and he will make it right.

We went there the last time we were at the lake and it was very good and the owner came to our table and spoke to each of us. We will go back. When were there it was for lunch and I have heard they are not open for lunch now (except the weekend???)

I understand now the hours are 5 to 9pm Tues. - Sat. We went on a Friday night at about 5:10 and about 6pm they were already starting to fill up the place. A lot of people were also coming in for take out.

It's in Dadeville on 280, just after the turnoff for 49. There is a gas station directly in front of it on the corner.

Does that mean that you can also get gas next to the Mexican restaurant?
