I am looking for input from anyone who has done business with local custom cabinet companies. Feel free to e-mail me privately. I am not looking to cause a problem. I just don't know of a better way to ask a more informed group for advice. I was going to go with prefab but my builder is suggesting a local custom shop. Please let me know if you have had any dealings. Thanks

Might try Fred's Cabinet Shop in Dadeville, and Tommy Moore on Hwy 50 between Hwy 49 and 280 south of Dadeville. Used 'em both, reasonable. High end shop north of Alex City, can't remember their name.

I'm a home builder and there are very good options available.. I don't get a penny out of the recommendations, but might save you some big bucks and a lotta grief..

Tierce Williams owner of The Gray Barn Cabinets, is by far the best, providing you can get him. His is a small, in demand shop located in Coosa county. He is doing a job at The Ridge now but I don't know if the cabinets are installed yet. His phone # is 256-245-2445.

We used Fred's cabinets for our entire house, Joel was great to work with. They did a fabulous job on the pecky cyprus kitchen cabinets/book shelves, as well as all the bathroom vanities!

Fred's did some custom built-ins for our family room. They did a great job and were great to work with. We dealt with Fred's son, and he was a pleasure to do business with.
