How do I cut and paste from a recieved email to a post under the"new" format?

I use Firefox for my browser. When I tried to copy and paste it brought up a notice my browser does does not support that function, use ctrl + x and ctrl + v. That is the ctrl key held while depressing the x or v. The + sign just means press both keys to copy and paste.
Crtl v worked on a test reply ( did not post as did not wamt to confuse the issue).

FROM A MAC USING CHROME.
I highlightrd your statement, went to HROME EDIT and hit Copy, went to Forum reply and under CHROME EDIT hit PASTE.
How do I cut and paste from a recieved email to a post under the"new" format?

Copy as you would normally and use edit function to paste.
