How many of you were around for 'The Vanishing Prairie,' Disney's early contribution to this genre? I vividly remember watching it as a kid -- as I recall, a multi-episode installment of Wide World of Disney, perhaps before it was even called that. They generated a book named that, too, which I read hundreds of times a half-century and more ago. Prairie dogs, big-horn sheep butting each other in slo-mo, flowers opening in time lapse -- way before Wild Kingdom, etc.
