Check out the op-ed piece in the Journal as Rush exposes the hypocrisy of the left and their use of lies and the sycophantic government media to derail his legitimate participation in the attempt to buy an NFL team. Typical left, when you oppose someone politically you use lies to try to destroy them.
What an amazing spectacle listening to the idiots explaining that Rush wasn't fit for the NFL when we have the likes of Plexico Burris, Michael Vick, Ray Lewis and the over 300 other NFL players that have been arrested for one crime or another since 2000. What a joke.......

One does not just buy an NFL club. It is a closed society where one must be voted in. The owners for the most part are white conservative republicans who have made a business decision. They feel Limbaugh is too divisive an individual for membership into their club.
The NFL sells a product that requires advertising dollars to help support. They have contracts with TV, the same media that fired Limbaugh for the remark he made about McNabb. He had his opportunity to play the game when he was on Monday night Football and blew it. He had his chance. Vick, as an example, paid his dues and went to prison. Maybe, this rejection is Limbaugh’s penalty for his past remarks.
I am sure you have a litmus test for anyone who may want to buy into your business.
He is not the first person to ever be denied the right to purchase a professional team. Why is he considered divisive? Simply, he has made remarks that a number of their key employees find offensive or degrading. Here are four examples:
Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?
Take that bone out of your nose and call me back (to an African American female caller).
I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. They're interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well. I think there's a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn’t deserve.
On Obama : a 'halfrican American', an 'affirmative action candidate.' Limbaugh even has repeatedly played a song on his radio show 'Barack the Magic Negro' using an antiquated Jim Crow era term for black a man who many Americans were supporting for president.

Rush has not made the divisive remarks as you have bought into. Those were words put into his mouth without accuracy or attribution.
ANYONE can be an owner... it's a business venture. It has little to do with politics or sportsmanship. Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, John Gotti, George Bush... you get my drift... can all invest in football (hmmm... well maybe not John Gotti.)
Rush could have been an owner, had his name not been leaked.

Many of the quotes attributed to Limbaugh are false. These 4 have been acknowledged by him. The Jackson and bone remark were many years ago. The McNabb and negro song are recent.
As to you drift, one cannot just become an owner of an NFL team. You are voted on by the current owners and 24 of the 32 must approve you. Recently, Mark Cuban who owns the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA tried to buy the Chicago Cubs and could not get the support of the other owners.

is a worse crime for libs like GF than all the crimes committed by NFL players. What a warped sense of proportion. Wait a second, I forgot you voted for Obama/Biden so anything is possible....
BTW GF, be careful that what you type is factually correct. I wouldn't want you to be in the same place as the NY law firm with ties to the Obama administration that puts false information on Wikipedia. I wonder how much insurance they have as they are going to need it.

Isn't it a joke? Although I am not sure heaven is where this match is made given the other owners. Esquire had a piece about other NFL owners and their misdeeds and when compared to Rush he looked pretty good. I am waiting for the government media expose on the owners of the Packers and what they have said in public. There are over 110,000 of them so they better get started.

I assume just as Limbaugh was just politically incorrect with his comments that you agree Tina Faye was also just politically incorrect with her SNL mocking of Palin. And, the comdedienne who suggested that Limbaugh should die at that Press Club roast was also just politically incorrect.

You ignored my main objection to your post and that is you view being non-PC as a reason to deny someone ownership of an NFL team while there is no objection to the many crimes of players and other bizarre behavior of owners. You specifically mentioned Vick and my view is if he is OK to play someone like Rush should certainly be allowed to be a part owner. But not according to you.....

My feeling is that professional athletes are public figures. When you put yourself into a public arena, then you have to expect that things will be said. The fact that Rush Limbaugh said things doesn't make it any different than anyone else.
We all know the NFL is about $$$$. So why they are taking HMT (high moral tone) now is beyond me.

I sent an email to the commissioner pointing out the hypocrisy. What it really amounts to in my view is subtle racism. We can't expect those black players to live up to the standards we apparently set for some white conservative commentator. We can't accept politically incorrect speech from a white guy but felony convictions by the black players have to be accepted. Its really offensive to the players that don't commit crimes.
It also amazes me that we have to listen to Tawana Brawley Sharpton and Hymietown Jackson on this issue as well. Why they are granted any credibility has always mystified me. It will be a good day for America when we can grow beyond the paleo-civil rights crowd.
No one seems focused much on that side of the issue but that is the world we live in these days.

how often Bo gets told to get on the porch like Juan Williams was told when he defended Rush. Juan drives me crazy sometimes but he is one of the most intellectually honest liberal journalists out there.
