For the second straight month Obama's approval has fallen again. It is now down to 58%. That is lower than both Bush and Clinton in his first term at the same point.

The american people are finally waking up that these crazy levels of wasteful spending are not working and will only lead to higher interest rates and inflation. No jobs are being created, in fact continues to rise. Oil prices are rising as Obama is talking about wind mills. All the talk about "goverment healthcare" is scary, government owning an auto company and saying what kind of cars they can make, bigger and bigger government trying to control and regulate our freedoms. Distribution of wealth makes more reliance on government as it destroys more and more jobs.

But the good news is that Arcie and GF are standing firm in their support, but neither will say what they like about what is going on and where they think it will lead us that will be good for the country. Please ... you guys must be seeing something that others are not.

I am pretty sure that at some point even the government media will have to begin reporting all the bad economic news and our unemployment rate will soon be over 10%. I had to go through a round of layoffs and salary reductions in my company (and by the way MM detractors, the first salary cut was mine) and I fear there is more to come.

I try to be an optimist but by all appearances we are repeating all the mistakes of the Great Depression and will likely continue on that path until the American people wake up.

What is sad is I saw an industry report recently and the only good news was in the federal sector. So the government takes from the productive, wastes half the money on the bureaucracy and then doles it out like patronage to political supporters. That my friends is socialism.

I remember during the election that some felt a government job is as good as a private sector job. I am not sure why anyone struggles with the concept that revenue to create government jobs "only" comes from the private sector. Since it takes at least 5 private sector jobs to support 1 "new" government job, just in ternms of salary, then add on support, buildings, cars, supplies, utilities, etc and the number is much greater. So when the private sector is shrinking, and the government sector is growing, that is a formula for disaster.

Government creates nothing. Government is that fiction by which everyone lives at the expense of everyone else.

Bottom line 58% support, disaster for Obama! Did you folks miss fractions and percentages in the 3d grade?

did you miss that he has fallen from over 70% to 58% in two months? Do you understand trends? Do you understand he is now BELOW Bush at the same point of his first term.

But how did I know you would ignore the facts and trend.

You still have not answered the question I presented to you. Come on it is so simple. Just share what you see that is so good and where you think it will lead the country? what do you expect these policies to lead to.

You must have some thought to have BO earn such support and loyalty from you.

Speak up and put YOUR thoughts together rather than sit back and just throw darts and be critical.

I amd many others have stated what we don't like ... so what is it that you do like? Not a difficult question ... I am sure even you can answer.

What is your source?

A new CNN/Opinion Research poll finds that President Obama's approval rating among Americans remains steady at 61%.

Said pollster Keating Holland: "Since March, Obama's approval rating has gone down one percentage point each month in CNN polls. In March it was 64 percent; in April it was 63 percent. Last month his approval rating stood at 62 percent and now it is at 61 percent."

Wouldn't that be considered a steady drop?

But the WSJ poll is at 56% ... I originall said 58%. In April it was 61% ... it does take CNN to catch up with the current reality since it is hard for them to accept, let alone report the "truth".

All you have to do is "BING.com" your question and you can find that we conservative "ONLY" report the facts accurately. Sorry !!

The problem is you need to check a credible source.

June 19

A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll pegged Obama’s job approval rating at 56%, a fall from 61% in April. Obama’s approval rating among independents in this poll dropped dramatically, from nearly a two-to-one approval to closely divided.

This is the partisan breakdowns from the new Washington Post poll which asked respondents who they trust to handle health care, the economy, the budget deficit, and terrorism. On every issue, majorities of independents trust President Obama, while small minorities trust congressional Republicans.

On health care, 51% of indys trust Obama, and 26% trust GOPers in Congress.
On the economy, 51% of indys trust Obama, and 31% trust the GOP.
On the budget deficit, 52% of indys trust Obama, and 30% trust the GOP.
On terrorism, 53% of indys trust Obama, and 36% trust the GOP.

"Given that pundits often wonder whether all-hallowed independents will be turned off by Obama's ambitious agenda, you'd think this storyline would enter the media narrative."

I did not go back and check, as I assume you would post accurate facts, but the point is that he continues to trend LOWER and he is LOWER than where Bush was and Clinton was with similar polls at the same time right after election.

There is a "love affair" with Obama, but it is no more widespread, and in fact from poll numbers, less that what 1st term presidents have. Go back and look at Regan.

Even Carter had good poll numbers at this stage after election and look at how he ruined America and it took several years to fix .... or do you not see it that way.

Good poll numbers do NOT mean he is doing the right things or that people understand. They reflect that they "like" him. That is falling and as more is understood and the resulting impact on the economy, the more he will fall.

We will have a recovery and growth ... but it is NOT because of Obama's spending. In fact most "expects" feel what he has done has slowed the recovery, any recovery we will get will be short lived do to high energy, inflation and rising interest rates and we could have a second recession that is worst that what we are coming out of. Watch the business news ... and they lay out the facts and why. There is no motivation for them to say this ... they do not benefit from it .... in fact many reinforce they hope changes are made soon enough so that does not happen.

Of course self-identified Independents (many of which are actually liberals that don't have the guts to admit what they are) are going to be more supportive of Obama since they voted for him and no one wants to admit they were duped by his lies. I wonder what the numbers were 3 months ago but I am betting they were higher.

What is even more striking with his dropping numbers is the fawning coverage of the sycophantic government-run media. They must be beside themselves wondering why they aren't able to prop up the Messiah. I have long maintained that our country is still majority center-right and many in the center were duped by hope and change and reality is setting in. Just wait until he taxes their health insurance and energy costs go up by $4K per household per year.

I did a quick ask.com and found this article.

The thing I find interesting is not that Bush's approval rating was between 50% and 53% depending on who was doing the poll. What's interesting is that the GOP was doing the same thing the Dems are now - spinning the polls to their advantage. Both parties play the same games.

you are missing the point as well ... I personally do not care about polls because most americans are too short term focused and what is going on in the news. But the IMPORTANT point on the BO polls is that they are falling at a rapid pace. And as the economy worsens from his cap and trade (if implemented) that will send energy costs threw the roof and make the US less competitive and we will see more jobs exported. Now he wants to pay for his massive deficits with yet another tax on america with a VAT (national sales tax). That would be great if it was the ONLY tax, but this is in addition to the already rising income tax.

We already work 6 months to pay taxes, ssom it will be 9 months.

Wake up.
