Headed to the lake on thursday to my cabin on old harmony branch off little kowaliga creek (across from real island) and wanted to try and catch some stripers for the first time. Will anyone let me know if there are good striper spots down on that end of the lake or do I need to head towards the main river channel to try my luck. Any info will be greatly appreciated as I grew up in Eclectic but never striper fished while there and now live in Mobile.

Any tips on catching them without planer boards would also be appreciated.

I have been wanting to know that myself. When I asked that question on this forum, Lee Gantt said that off Nero's point would be a good place to start on our end. Stripes probably don't go up past Real Island much, but if you have the right electronics, you could scout some of the areas like Coley's Point or in front of Porter's Branch.

Nero's point is at the end of our slough so thats nice to hear. WE'll give it a shot and see what happens, if no luck we'll just go ahead and try to catch some spots. I'll send you a update if we did any good.
