Anybody know any marinas or others that do GOOD work on the newer Johnson (really a Suzuki) 70HP four stroke engines? Mine is a 2005 year model, and parts are identical to the Suzuki DF-70. Some of my factory information that came new with the motor even has Suzuki quality control information on them in a few places. Probably forgot to take it out of the "Johnson" pack somewhere. I'm located at Stillwaters so the closer the better to that side of the lake.

There is a gentleman in tallassee that specializes in Johnson and Suzuki's cannot remember the name of his business or his name but he is the guru on these engines. Do a forum search for Tallassee and I will bet you will find his contact info.

Cathouse Performance Marine. He has a shop in Prattville but another on 49 just north of Blue Creek, and is an advertiser on this site. He worked on my Yamaha 80 4 stroke and after he was done it ranked an 11 on a scale of 10 compared to its best previous performance.

But the real kicker is that if he doesn't think he can do top notch work he won't accept the job. Everyone has limits but his is yet to be defined when it comes to marine propulsion.

Clearwater Marine at Chucks Marina also does Johnson/Suzuki outboards..
