Though we no longer serve in active service, there was no expiration date on the oath we took. Did you mean it? I did.
Below are reprinted the officers and enlisted oaths. Read yours and ask yourself, "does this apply to me today?" Does age make a difference? Does health make a difference? Do family obligations make a difference? How about grandchildren?
To whom did you swear the oath? To the United States? To the Constitution? To yourself? To your family? To GOD?
Officers:
I , ___________________ , do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
Enlisted:

Who would have thought that the main enemies of the Constitution and freedom are domestic… and that “we the people” voted for them? Does that not say a whole lot about the ignorant sheep and the sleeping sheepdogs?
We are experiencing an abundance of ignorance, a dearth of vigilance, and an exploitation of both.

...remember, who is a domestic enemy and who is a foreign enemy depends on who wins the revolution/election
...many of those who won the 2008 election/revolution might think of all of us in this thread as the domestic enemy
...interesting that someone is thinking of us that way, huh?

Written in the same syntax as a veiled threat… for that is the way it will come. Let no man who has no stomach for it engage in revolution.
But, I tell you that anyone whole steals freedom by stealth is no friend of our Constitution. The 1st Amendment provides for the light which reveals the skulking bandit. The 2nd Amendment provides the tools whereby the governed may throw off the bonds of oppression if the very Constitution itself is toppled.
…and all that is necessary for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing. There is copious historical evidence of the failures of good men to stand up to tyranny.
I want tyrants and subversives to sense the immensity of my patriotism and that of millions of men and women like me… who publish their patriotism and love of country in the light.
