I realise that technically it still would not be the  new season until 9/1 . Now if we can just get that water temp to start falling a little all will be right with the world once again .

Got it . I got my 7 wt. out today . I'm going to try a #2 clouser on the morning rise in the morning . water temp is falling already . I am a happy camper now . Anybody else fishing regularly ?

No  luck at dawn but I got half a dozen at dusk and they were shallow in a wind blown cove . Water temp is down 3 degrees on average from what it had been . I expect it to drop a little more over the next few days .

Hey man . I was beginning to think I was just talking to my self here . I just became a full timer on the lake . The cold front and north winds have changed the pattern for me . Once again this morning the surface bite was not happening . I only found a couple of spots with a crank bait . I am considering going out to Horseshoe Bend and doing a little wading this afternoon around the bridge shoals .
